As one of the oldest and most famous Hollywood studios, Universal grew over the years to expand from a few sets and soundstages to a full-blown theme park offering thrill rides, dining, shopping and tours of the sets and soundstages.

The upper lot of Universal is very family-friendly, with attractions and shows that will appeal to the young and young-at-heart, such as The Adventures of Curious George and the year-round haunted house – Universal's House of Horrors. Several themed retail stores are featured in the upper lot, as well as Shrek 4-D and The Simpsons Ride.

The lower lot is a bit smaller and houses Revenge of the Mummy, Jurassic Park: the Ride, and the newer Transformers Ride. Throughout both lots, costumed characters roam about and you just might run into Marilyn Monroe or Scooby Doo.
